| Established in 2010, the Sole To Soul Dance Company (or more commonly known as "SDC") Program is a one- to two-year pre-professional program comprised of students chosen from the studio's intensive training classes and auditions. SDC is an intensive performance based company geared toward training those who aspire to dance professionally, to pursue higher education, teach dance or simply for those who love dance, enjoy discipline and hard work and want to be pushed to reach their full potential. These chosen few can expect a demanding curriculum that requires 100 percent commitment. Who is it for?
● Completed Dance Intensive II with exceptional potential in dance● Must be physically fit with emphasis on healthy mind and body ● Must be self-motivated and able to self-evaluate ● Must have solid technical and performance skills ● Strong desire to grow and develop as a dancer ● Must have a positive attitude ● Have respect for the team and staff ● Show support for the studio, teachers and fellow dancers Categories
● Youth - Ages 9 to 17 years● Adults - Ages 18 to 25 years Training
● Three (3) hour company class once per week● Monthly meetings with principal and fellow company members ● Classes with STSDS faculty and guest instructors ● Advanced Technique Training ● Advanced Choreography Training ● Fitness Conditioning ● Performance opportunities ● Professional Photo Shoots ● Mentorship ● Nutrition for Dancers ● Dance History and Terminology ● Performance Makeup Levels/Fees
Getting Started Admission to Dance Company is by invitation and live audition for intakes at the begining of June every year. Auditions will take place at Sole To Soul Dance Studio. Each program runs for one year. Dance Intensive I or II preferred. |
