Our Story
Founded in 2008, Sole To Soul Dance Studio (STS) began with a simple belief that every dancer deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover confidence through dance. What started as a single 600 square foot studio on the second floor of a four storey building welcomed just 50 students in its first year. Guided by a passion for quality education and a strong sense of community, the studio quickly gained momentum, growing to 150 students within a year and establishing itself as a nurturing home for dancers of all ages and backgrounds.
In 2010, STS celebrated its Grand Opening and first annual recital, bringing together more than 50 dancers on stage. The same year marked another significant milestone as the studio presented its first students for the Royal Academy of Dance examinations, reinforcing its commitment to structured and recognised dance education. As enrolment continued to grow, so did the studio’s vision—to create meaningful opportunities for dancers to train, perform, and excel.
This vision led to the formation of the Sole To Soul Dance Company (SDC), an elite training pathway designed for dancers seeking a deeper commitment to performance and artistic development. What began as a small performance focused initiative would eventually grow into multiple specialised company divisions, creating opportunities for dancers to pursue competitions, productions, and professional level experiences.
Over the years, STS continued to evolve. From staging its first full scale production, Dance Revolution 2012, to expanding into a 6,800 square foot facility across three floors, the studio steadily transformed into a vibrant centre for dance education and performance. Large scale productions such as Glamorous Moment and the 15 Year Anniversary Celebration Concert became defining moments, bringing together hundreds of dancers, families, and supporters in celebration of creativity, growth, and community.
Today, Sole To Soul stands as a leading dance institution offering over 100 classes weekly through a team of more than 40 instructors across five studios. Supported by internationally recognised training systems including the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), the Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training and Assessment Programme (ATAP), and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), STS continues to provide structured, high quality training while nurturing artistry, discipline, and personal growth.
