For dancers, body conditioning is all about working to tone and sculpt their muscles apart from, and over and above the dance movements. With a combination of stretches like pilates and yoga, muscle toning or building exercises like weight training or gym, as well as workouts abdominal(core) strength, glutes, and hamstrings.
Contemporary is an expressive dance form with a free, artistic and creative feel. Contemporary draws a lot of its technique from classical ballet but unlike ballet, contemporary often focuses on floor work and dancers will usually perform with bare feet. Principles of contemporary dance include centering, alignment, gravity, contraction, release and suspension.

Street Dance
Street dance is an umbrella term used to describe types of dance that originated outside of dance studios. Hip hop is a street dance style, for instance, but not all street dance styles are part of hip hop culture. If you are totally new to dance, we recommend our 'Basic Hip Hop & Drills' or 'Basic Girl Style' class.
Basic Hip Hop & Drills
Our Basic Hip Hop & Drills for absolute beginners is the perfect class for those who are new to dance or those who want to improve coordination, link moves together and find comfort and confidence in various dance styles. Each class includes a warm up/stretch exercise and a routine tutorial consisting of simple easy-to-follow, fun, repetitive dance moves and drills.
Basic Girl Style
Basic Girl Style introduces newer dancers to the building blocks of girls style. Rather than focussing on choreography, students will understand isolations, connecting the different body parts and weight shifts, which will help in executing girls style choreography. You will be guided through a choreographed routine and the tools needed every week to develop stamina, execution, technique & confidence.
Breaking, also called breakdancing or b-boying/b-girling, is an athletic style of street dance. In this class, no matter your experience, you will have the opportunity to learn breaking from a passionate instructor - including top rocks, get downs, footwork, power moves and freezes.
Dancehall was born in the inner city of Kingston, Jamaica in the late 70s. In this class students will be introduced to the various styles of this expressive, energetic and feel good dance, from the fun popular party dances, impressive Dancehall Queen moves, smooth like butter grooves to the more dynamic steps of today.
Groove & Freestyle
Whether you’re trying to level up for your next hip-hop class or want to feel a bit more confident on the dance floor, training groove will give you excellent body awareness, control, and an elevated quality of movement. With strong emphasis on musicality and creativity, Groove & Freestyle practices the learning of the fundamentals styles such as Locking, Popping, Hip Hop, Breakdance, House, and more.
Hip Hop
Hip Hop is the style that most people associate with Street Dance. There are different ways in which Hip Hop is presented depending on the type of Hip Hop music it is danced to. Understand the basics such as how to bounce, groove, wave, and find your own individual and organic connection to the music within the language and expression of street styles and hip hop dance.
Locking is a style of funk dance, which is today also associated with hip hop. The name is based on the concept of locking movements, which means freezing from a fast movement and "locking" in a certain position, holding that position for a short while and then continuing at the same speed as before. It relies on fast and distinct arm and hand movements combined with more relaxed hips and legs.
Popping is one of the more technical styles, that takes a lot of training to develop the understanding and the muscle control. Popping and related styles such as waving and tutting have also been incorporated into the electronica dance scene to some extent, influencing new styles such as liquid and digits and turfing.
Choreography Series
Choreography classes can draw from a wide range of dance styles, including street dance, but also genres such as contemporary or jazz. Some choreographers draw most of their influence from a single style such as hip hop, for example, while others explore fusions between different genres. Ultimately, the choreography you learn in this class will depend on the choreographer’s own style, experience and interpretation of the music (that’s what makes it so fun)! Class will build on the SAME PIECE of choreography over 4-6 weeks. If you are totally new to dance, we recommend our 'Basic Hip Hop & Drills' or 'Basic Girl Style' class.
Choreography is a mix of clean, up-to-date moves based on hip hop, house, jazz, tap, locking and popping to create challenging choreography that encompasses how the style has evolved. Dancers are meant to look like they are unwinding, unraveling and floating. Expect isolations, slow, fluid movements like gliding and body waves and contemporary-inspired turns.
Girls Choreography
Find the girl inside and learn to embrace this side of you in our Girls Choreography class! If Hip hop Choreography is too masculine for you and you prefer a more feminine quality in the choreography, this is the class for you! Ranging from sensual routine to an energetic choreography, you will learn new techniques and new moves on a regular basis that will enhance your dancing skills and gain a better understanding of the music, body co-ordination and step variation.
Girl Style
The basics of Girl Style might be the same as that in Girls Choreography but this class focuses on the techniques critical to executing a more girly style! Each of our Girl Style instructors come from different dance backgrounds, meaning they all showcase their own style of Girls Style choreography. There is the expression of girl-power, the engagement of your sensuality, and the use of strength. You will learn how to vary the textures in the way you dance, and find out what your flattering angles and lines are.
Street Jazz
Street Jazz is a combination of basic technical jazz elements with the attitude of Hip Hop. It is softer than hip hop but not as formal as traditional jazz. The style features sharp movements, body isolations and focuses on precision and confidence. It is energetic and funky, a type of dance you would expect to see in a pop MV.
Kpop Boys

We will focus on lavish body motion, stylized footwork, shoulder and hip actions, and hand styling. This is a non-partner based class meaning it is all about you!
