Ms Lau Siew Wei about
Ms Siew Wei holds an RAD Registered Teacher and BA (Hons) of Sports & Exercise Science. Ms Siew Wei brings a unique blend of classical ballet and rhythmic gymnastics into her teaching, supported by a strong academic foundation in sports science. Her approach prioritizes physical awareness, musicality, and injury prevention, fostering confident and technically strong dancers. Notable accolades include MCCDC 2023 Neo-Classical Ballet Champion and representing Malaysia at the Australia Youth Olympic Festival. |
Ms Tan Qian Hui (QQ) about
Ms Tan Qian Hui (QQ) is a versatile dancer excelling in Ballet, Contemporary, Latin, and Standard Ballroom. She has performed principal roles with Asia Ballet Theatre and danced with renowned companies including Boca Ballet Theatre, Ballet Theatre Malaysia, Freed Ballet, and Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. At Boca Ballet Theatre in Florida, she trained and performed under the guidance of directors from Dayton Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Carolina Ballet, and Giordano Dance Chicago. Her repertoire includes major roles such as Nikiya (La Bayadère), Medora (Le Corsaire), Lise (La Fille Mal Gardée), Spanish Doll (The Fairy Doll) with Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, Dewdrop Fairy (The Nutcracker), Big Swan (Swan Lake), and Bridesmaid (Don Quixote) with Freed Ballet, Spanish (The Nutcracker) with Ballet Theatre Malaysia and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as a demi-soloist role in La Sylphide with Boca Ballet Theatre. She has also performed in the Psychosynthesis preview and choreographed Eternal Flow for the contemporary production Sail by Danztech Movement in 2024. In her preparation for La Bayadère, she received direct artistic coaching from Stephen Jefferies and Rashna Jefferies. A winner of numerous international competitions, QQ has received contract offers and scholarships from Orlando Ballet, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, International Ballet Company Messapica, Étoile Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Houston Ballet Academy, The Harid Conservatory, and institutions in the UK, Italy, Canada, France, Singapore, and Indonesia. Beyond performance, she has been invited to teach Ballet, Contemporary, and Latin Ballroom in Brunei, at Dwi Emas International School, and at various local dance academies in Malaysia. She has also been featured in events and media appearances for Glenfiddich, Clarins, OPPO, and Vacheron Constantin. |
Ms Amelia Feroz about
Ms Amelia Feroz began her dance journey at the age of 5 with Aurora Dance School. She is professionally trained in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Latin Ballroom. Over the years, she has earned numerous accolades, including 1st Place at The Dance Society (TDS) Competition in 2010 and the Indonesian Dance Prix in 2018. She was
awarded Best Female Dancer at Short & Sweet 2012, and her choreography “Workphase” won the Audience Choice Award at Short & Sweet 2015. In 2016, Ms Amelia graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcasting from Taylor’s University. She then attended the World Dance Movement workshop in Italy, where she was awarded a full scholarship to further her training at the Peridance Capezio Center in New York City. Her recent works include “Red and Blue” and “Unseen”, presented at Protégés and Dancebox by MyDance Alliance, as well as “When Ballet Meets Contemporary” with LaDanza Theatre. She has also appeared in “Musim Monstahs” and “Lemang Menang” by Suhaili Micheline, starred as the Queen of Hearts in Ballet Theatre Malaysia’s 2022 production of “Alice in Wonderland” choreographed by Choong Wan Chin, and performed in “Psychosynthesis” by Kenny Shim in February 2023 and “Switchblade Operation: The Longing” by Loke Soh Kim in July 2023. Ms Amelia Iis currently active as a freelance performer, choreographer, and dance educator. |
Ms Jia Xi Lee about
Ms Jia Xi Lee (Ms JC), is a former ballerina with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and Singapore Dance Theatre (current Singapore Ballet), an award-winning interdisciplinary contemporary dance artist who has been given exclusive accreditation and ongoing CPD directly with the Royal Ballet School of London, a feeder school to the world-class ballet company—Royal Ballet. Holding a Diploma in Performance from the New Zealand School of Dance, a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Applied Neuroscience, and a 200-hr Yoga Teacher’s Training Certification. She is a highly sought-after teaching dance artist who goes beyond teaching into facilitating and mentoring dance teachers and students. Her experience in dance education and performance spans almost 15 years internationally with networks across the East and the West. She is also a strong advocate for community dance projects in partnership with NGOs in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals which led her to mentor youth at secondary and tertiary levels. Her project direction, #DanceforNukeBan contributed to the 2020 ratification of the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW) in Malaysia. She is also a writer and copywriter for dance productions and performances. |
